Calendar printing for 2027 starts now. Most companies order wall calendars, desk calendars and corporate diaries in November and December so they are ready to hand out in the first week of January. This guide explains the standard sizes, paper and binding, how to brand them, and what decides the price of a bulk order.
When should you order 2027 calendars and diaries?
Calendar and diary printing is seasonal. Almost every order in India has the same deadline: before 1 January. That makes November and December the busiest weeks of the year for any press that prints them.
The safest plan is to work backwards from the date you want to hand them out:
- Final artwork and dates checked — holidays, festivals and your own events.
- Proof approved — a digital proof first, a printed proof if colour is critical.
- Printing, binding and finishing — foil, embossing and wiro binding add time.
- Packing and delivery — to your office or straight to branches.

Calendar printing: formats and sizes
The two formats most businesses choose are wall calendars and desk calendars. Each has a few common sizes.
| Format | Common sizes | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Wall calendar — single sheet | A3, A2 | Year planner for offices, schools and shops |
| Wall calendar — multi-page | A4, A3 (6 or 12 leaves + cover) | Corporate gifting, one photo per month |
| Desk (tent) calendar | A5 landscape, 8 × 6 in | Client and staff desks; wiro bound on a stand |
| Pocket calendar | Credit-card size | Low-cost giveaway at events |
Wall calendars are printed in full colour on coated art paper, in the 90–300 GSM range — lighter for inside leaves, heavier for the cover. Desk calendars use a stiff board stand with wiro binding so the pages turn easily. Our calendar presses print in four colours plus a spot colour when you need an exact brand shade.
Wall calendar or desk calendar: which works better?
Both keep your brand visible, but in different places. A wall calendar is seen by everyone who walks into a room — a shop, a classroom, a reception area or a factory floor. A desk calendar sits a metre from one person all day and gets looked at every time they plan a meeting.
- Choose wall calendars for dealers, retailers, schools and public spaces, where many people see one calendar.
- Choose desk calendars for clients and staff who work at a desk and plan their week.
- Choose a single-sheet year planner when you need large quantities at the lowest cost per piece.
Many companies order both: a premium desk calendar for key clients and a simpler wall calendar for wider distribution.
Diary printing: sizes, paper and binding
Corporate diary printing is less about the cover image and more about how the diary feels in daily use. Three decisions matter most.
Size
A5 is the most popular executive diary. B5 suits people who write a lot; A4 works for desk diaries and registers; pocket diaries fit a jacket or bag.
Paper
Diary inside pages are usually 58–80 GSM uncoated woodfree paper. Lighter paper keeps a thick diary slim; heavier paper stops ink showing through. Cream or natural shades are easier on the eyes than bright white.
Binding
| Binding | Good for |
|---|---|
| Wiro | Planners and desk calendars — opens fully flat |
| Section sewn | Dated executive diaries that must last the whole year |
| Hardbound (case) | Premium gifting diaries with padded or leatherette covers |
| Perfect binding | Economical undated notebooks and diaries |

Custom calendar printing and custom diary printing: branding options
The point of a corporate calendar or diary is to keep your name in front of clients for twelve months. Custom calendar printing and custom diary printing let you add your brand without making the product look like an advert.
- Foil stamping — gold, silver or coloured foil for a logo or name on the cover.
- Embossing and debossing — a raised or pressed logo that you can feel.
- Spot UV — a gloss highlight on a matt cover.
- Your own pages — company profile, product pages, office addresses, holiday list or a year planner.
- Personalised names — for staff or VIP clients, on the cover or first page.
All finishing is done in-house on our prepress and finishing line, which keeps quality consistent across a large order.
What decides the calendar printing price?
There is no single calendar printing price, because every order is a different mix of these choices:
- Quantity. Plates and press set-up cost the same for 500 or 5,000 calendars, so the price per piece falls as quantity rises.
- Format and size. A single-sheet wall planner costs far less than a 12-leaf wall calendar.
- Number of leaves or pages. More months or more diary pages mean more paper and press time.
- Paper and board. Heavier art paper and thicker board cost more.
- Binding. Wiro and hardbound covers cost more than stapled or perfect-bound options.
- Finishing. Foil, embossing and spot UV each add a step.
- Packing and delivery. Individual boxes, envelopes or delivery to many branches add cost.
The fastest way to see a diary price is our instant quote calculator. Choose Diary, set the size, pages, paper and binding, and the price per copy updates as you change each option. For calendars, send us your specification for a quotation.

Calendar printing wholesale: ordering in bulk
For calendar printing wholesale orders — distributors, schools, associations or companies ordering thousands of pieces — a few things keep the cost down and the delivery on time:
- One design, one run. Printing all copies together is cheaper than several small reprints.
- Standard sizes. A4, A3 and A5 fit our press sheets with less waste.
- Name imprinting as a second step. Print the full calendar once, then add each dealer's name or logo in a short extra run.
- Split delivery. Tell us how many copies go to each branch so they can be packed separately.
We print calendar and diary orders at our two units in Delhi NCR, which run 24 hours a day in three shifts. See our calendar and diary printing page for formats and finishing.
What to put inside a corporate diary
The inside pages decide whether a diary gets used every day or left in a drawer. Popular additions are:
- a year planner for 2026–2027 and a list of public holidays;
- a few pages about your company, products or services;
- contact details for your offices, branches or dealers;
- useful reference pages — telephone codes, conversion tables, a notes section;
- a ribbon marker and a pocket at the back for loose papers.
Keep the advertising pages to a few at the front or back. A diary that is mostly adverts is less likely to be used.
A simple checklist before you send files
- All dates, public holidays and festival days checked for 2027.
- Artwork in CMYK at 300 DPI, with 3 mm bleed on every side.
- Spot colour or foil areas on a separate layer.
- Logo files in vector format (PDF, AI or EPS).
- Quantity, size, paper, binding and delivery address confirmed.
